# Retrieve a transaction

> Returns a single transaction's summary record — check its rollback state before undoing it.

```http theme={null}
GET $BASE_URL/v1/transactions/:transactionId
```

**Returns one transaction's summary record. Single-resource endpoints are not wrapped in the list envelope — the object is returned directly, with the same fields as a [list](/api/list-transactions) item.**

> **Auth:** `Authorization: Bearer <accessToken>` — an organization-scoped token from [Authentication](/api/authentication). A transaction that does not exist or belongs to another organization returns `403 auth_error`.

### Path parameters

| Parameter | Type | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `transactionId` | string | Required. The transaction id — `transactionId` from the [process](/api/process-transaction) response, or `id` from [list](/api/list-transactions). |

### Example

```bash theme={null}
curl --request GET \
  --url "$BASE_URL/v1/transactions/7f1b6c20-8f2e-40d7-966f-29707f1a77b9" \
  --header 'Authorization: Bearer <accessToken>'
```

* Campaign execution traces, customer state snapshots, and the submitted payload are not returned.
